About the Event

Since 2008, AsianInNY has been a trailblazer in producing fashion shows that spotlight Asian fashion designers, artists, and models, promoting diversity and representation in the fashion industry. Their shows celebrate creativity and provide a platform for emerging Asian talent to shine globally. The upcoming AsianInNY 2024 Fashion Show will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 4 PM at the newly renovated Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York, continuing their legacy of showcasing cutting-edge Asian fashion and artistry.

General admission tickets are limited for $50 per person (online only), and $80 on site.

VIP tickets are $100. Media, celebrities, and verified influencers can request VIP tickets by emailing info@AsianInNY.com.

***About the designers:

Alexander King Chen: Alex is a globally acclaimed Taiwanese American fashion designer, known for high-profile collaborations with industry giants such as Estée Lauder, Mercedes Benz, and Asus. His creative journey spans the fashion capitals of Paris, London, and Taipei. Beyond fashion design, Alex is a multifaceted artist—producer, stylist, songwriter, set designer, and fashion filmmaker. His award-winning short films, Inhuman Love, Kill-Burn, and Are You in Heaven, have garnered international recognition, including Best Artistic Director and Best Visual and Special Effects at the London Film Festival.

Kai Ting Chen: Taiwan-born fashion designer and author Kai Ting holds a Master’s in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), New York. Her graduation design was a finalist for the 2021 ArtsThread Global Graduate Design Award, and she contributed to Peter Do’s 2022 Spring/Summer collection at New York Fashion Week. Before FIT, she showcased her 2019 Spring/Summer collection at London Fashion Week under her brand, Kai Ting Chen, as a featured FJU Talents designer. Renowned for her fabric experimentation and innovative cutting techniques, Kai Ting reimagines fashion with bold silhouettes and inventive material manipulation.

Special Performance by PeiJu Chien-Pott: PeiJu is a celebrated Taiwanese dancer, praised by New York dance critics as “one of the greatest living modern dancers.” A former principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, she has now emerged as an independent dance creator known for her distinctive artistic vision. With a deep commitment to innovation, PeiJu actively collaborates with fashion designers and creative artists, bridging the worlds of dance and fashion in groundbreaking cross-disciplinary performances. She is the founder of PEIJU Performing Arts in Taiwan, the New and Contemporary Dance Director for the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, and a faculty member at the Alvin Ailey School in New York.

Fashion Illustration and Visual Art Design by Nina Edwards: Nina is an award-winning fashion illustrator, graphic designer, and curator based in New York City. Her work has been showcased in major publications and global campaigns across the U.S., Taiwan, the UK, and Japan. In addition to her creative pursuits, Nina teaches Fashion Illustration, Creative Careers, and Portfolio Development at Pratt Institute, where she helps shape the next generation of design talent.
